FROM THE NORTH;

I-95 towards Petersburg, take exit # 54 (right) to Temple Ave ( VA-144), past Southpark Mall. continue on 144 past Harley Davidson dealer and over the railroad bridge to River Road stop light. (Ft. Lee construction on the right). Turn left onto River Road to MVRC Flying Field entrance gate, just past the field, on the right.

FROM THE SOUTH;

I-95 towards Petersburg, take exit # 53 to Temple Ave. (VA-144), right onto VA-144 past Harley Davidson dealer and over the railroad bridge to River Road stop light. (Ft. Lee construction on the right). Turn left onto River Road and continue to MVRC Flying Field entrance gate, just past the field, on the right.

Directions

From I-95 use exit 48A-East towards 460.  Proceed past AGRI SUPPLY Company (on the left) and over the Railroad Bridge (you can see the flying field--LOOKING TO YOUR LEFT-- from the top of the bridge).  The entrance will be at the bottom of the overpass, on the left (left turn lane) 2/10s mile before 460 intersection.

The lock on Fort Lee’s gate has been changed to a key lock.

To comply with regulations, two keys (primary and backup) will be kept in the mower storage shed. Members who remove the key and unlock the gate are responsible for returning the key to the shed.

The last member to leave the field is to lock the gate behind them. Do not leave a guest in charge of locking the field.

If any club member sees a non-club member enter through the gate we use and not come directly to the flying site, they are to call range control immediately. Range control will take whatever action is required. We are responsible for anyone who comes through gate while it is unlocked by us! We do not have to try and detain them - only report the trespassing to range control.

If you want to fly during the week, check the bulletin and then call range control before you enter the field to fly or cut grass. YOU CANNOT use the field during the restricted days (Hunting Season).

Hours of Use

Monday through Sunday: 6:30 AM until sunset: (with the following exceptions):

1. October 15th through the first Saturday in January:
   1. Monday through Saturday: 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM
   2. Sunday: 6:30 AM until sunset.
2. No flying during the Wagner Family Dove Hunt, usually held the first two Saturdays in September.

In all cases, no MVRC members or guests are permitted on the property between sunset and the opening times described above without the expressed permission of the landlord.
In all cases, Wagner Field is OFF LIMITS to MVRC members during the hours of darkness.

Recovery of Model Aircraft:

 We may recover crashed aircraft from the field’s area at any time during the hours of use. We may recover crashed aircraft from the woods area at any time during the hours of use except during hunting restricted hours. During hunting hours we may recover their aircraft from the woods area only on Sunday. Contact a club officer for any exceptions to this policy.

Your board of directors also wishes to remind you that hunting privileges are not part of our lease. MVRCC members are not permitted to hunt or disturb game animals on Wagner property, in any way, at any time.
